JASPIC stands for Java Authentication Service Provider for Containers (JSR 196). This specification extends the pluggable authentication concepts of the Java Authentication and Authorization Service (JAAS) to the authentication of network messages.
Providing JASPIC compilant modules will be our main objective in 2010 as this specification is part of Java EE 6.
